Recent Events with OMFD: Dr. Eagan’s Summerfest & Annual Cedar Point Trip
By: Dr. Warren E. Woodruff
At Orchard Maple Family Dental, we strive to stay involved in the community and with other local businesses. We also find time to have fun with our staff, patients and friends. On August 27, 2011, our staff attended Dr. J. Victor Eagan and Catherine Eagan’s annual Summerfest Event. It is the Patient and Community Appreciation Day for Eagan Orthodontics. The event took place at God’s Graceland Park on the grounds of Greater Grace Temple in Detroit, Michigan. Our staff really enjoyed ourselves as they had lot of food, games, and performers for people of all ages. At the event, Eagan Orthodontics had a raffle for its patients and referring general dentists. Orchard Maple Family Dental won the grand prize of a free cruise for the staff. We were elated when we heard the news!
Dr. Eagan is an orthodontist in Southfield, Michigan who has been changing lives for many years by transforming smiles through the use of braces. His father, Dr. John Eagan, was the first African American orthodontist in the state of Michigan and the third African American orthodontist in the world. So you can see that it runs in the family. Dr. Eagan provided braces not only for myself when I was a child, but also my entire family. My family couldn’t be happier with the results!

On Saturday, September 17, the Orchard Maple Family Dental Staff took their annual trip to Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio. We took a big coach bus filled with staff members, patients and friends. We really enjoyed ourselves. It is currently Halloweekends at Cedar Point so the entire park was decorated for Halloween and there were parades and various other events taking place at the park. A special thank you to Dr. William H. Woodruff, Jane, Lois, the bus driver and everyone else that helped make this event possible! Here are some pictures from the trip.
